While our goal is to offer journeys tailored to accomodate all riding levels, and offer horse riding holidays for beginners, certain rides demand a strong background in horse riding.
When completing a form to inquire about a ride, we have outlined four distinct riding levels to assist you in confidently choose the journey that aligns with your skills and preferences.
- « First-time in the saddle » : You have never ridden before but eager to learn discover the joys of horse-riding in the open country.
- « Beginner Rider » : You had a few horse-riding lessons or experiences and are reasonably confident riding a horse at a walk, a rising trot, and are in the process of learning to canter.
- « Intermediate Rider » : You feel confident, secure and balanced on a horse at all paces – walk, trot, canter – in open country. You are capable of posting or sitting the trot, maintaining an independent seat while cantering and comfortable with mounting and dismounting without help. Additionally, you are familiar with using aids to communicate with your horse.
- « Advanced Rider » : You are a frequent and fit rider, comfortable in the saddle for at least six hours per day. You are confident about riding at a fast pace and handling a forward-moving horse with an independent seat and soft hands, while being able to navigate through rough terrains.
