The trip was everything it was billed to be. Beautiful, challenging and memorable. The guides were extraordinary. The food was delicious the accommodations were great. I would recommend this trip to anyone who loves a good adventure, good conversation and delectable food. The terrain was spectacular, the ride demanding at times and the experience was everything we had hoped. From the ease of working with Nomad Riders and your attentiveness to our trip to the warmth and comradery of Gauberg’s guides, this was a true adventure and greatly enjoyed. I would recommend this trip to any horseman who wants a challenge while experiencing a true adventure.

It’s been a month since my trip to Iceland, and every day I wistfully think back to that most magical trip! Every aspect was perfect! From rides from and to the airport, the accommodations, the natural wonders, delicious meals, the luxurious lagoons, and most of all, the horses and people, were all mind bogglingly awesome!! Our guide, Thormar, could not have been better. The horses were well cared for, happy, and a blast to ride. My fellow riders will be my special friends forever. Thank you to Nomad Riders for making all my travel dreams come true!

While on a work trip to Paris, I decided to throw Nomad Riders a challenge: create a horseback riding adventure that would let me experience the French countryside, enjoy great wine, see some iconic sights, and fit into a relatively short timeframe. Not only did they accept the challenge—they absolutely nailed it. The itinerary Nomad Riders created exceeded every expectation I had. The horseback riding experiences were incredible, with a perfect mix of trail rides, garden rides, and different horse breeds that kept each day unique and memorable. It felt like every ride offered a new perspective on France's beauty and equestrian culture. And then there were the accommodations. Seriously, how often do you get to stay in a 10th-century château, ride through the grounds of a 15th-century château, and enjoy a private indoor tour while it's being renovated? I kept waiting for someone to tell me I had accidentally wandered into a movie set. What impressed me most was the attention to detail. Every transfer was perfectly timed, every guide was fantastic, and every horse was a joy to ride. If you're considering booking with Nomad Riders, my advice is simple: do it. They transformed a simple idea into one of the most memorable travel experiences I've ever had. You'll come home with amazing memories, a camera full of photos, and possibly unrealistic expectations for all future vacations.

This was a phenomenal trip that exceeded my expectations. Ari, Steinunn and Loa are fantastic guides and expert caretakers of their wonderful horses. The horses! So beautiful and sturdy. Tolting in a vast volcanic valley amid majestic scenery was an experience I will never forget. The lava cave tour is not to be missed. And, I loved the Husafell hotel, too. Perfect accommodations with a delicious restaurant and on-site hot pools.

This trip was the best ever! No detail was left undone from airport pick up to airport drop off!! The hotels were wonderful and the horses were 5 star and the family that were our guides couldn’t do enough for you! Great rides, great lunches, GREAT FUN!! I’m already thinking when I can go back! Rita, from Nomad riders was also so helpful.. answered every question I had quickly! I highly recommend this trip… I imagine all of the Nomad trips would be equally fantastic!

Nomad Riders took care of everything and we got an amazing adventure. Four days of riding horses in the Tuscan country side. The venue was amazing and every detail was covered.

Absolutely fantastic trip!! Steinunn, Loa, and Ari were wonderful. Rita was so helpful with logistics beforehand as well. They all care deeply about their horses. Fabulous scenery and I learned a lot of cultural and historical info from the guides! They went out of their way for little things like putting flowers out during evening coffee break and getting me a cake for my birthday! Loved that we were such a small group. Could not have been better, I would go on another trip with them in a heartbeat.

Simply AMAZING!!! I have horses at home so I never thought to see another country on horseback, until this trip. Now I want to see every country forever on horseback!! From the horses, to the people (seriously our outfit of humans were top-tier, wonderful), to the landscape, everything was beyond incredible. There is such a special culture that is preserved in this beautiful country and it’s worth exploring. If you’re even remotely considering this trip, DO IT! I’d like to think I’m well traveled but the experience has set a new standard, that fear won’t be matched anytime soon.

This is a review written with mixed emotions as some things are so beautiful you hate to share them for fear of losing them, but riding with the team (and family) at Calcione is an experience of Tuscany that you will truly appreciate. Beautiful horses, a great castle with rich history, and a wonderful family and staff make for a perfect Tuscan experience. Top notch rides and horses by day returning for an evening of Michelin quality dinners and great company make for a dream come true. My wife and I spent a long weekend with them and feel we’ve made friends for life. Thank you team Calcione - especially Zoe!!!

It was beyond expectation to describe the experience I have during the trip in Tuscany: well trained horses, beautiful castles, amazing fine dining from chef using local ingredients and fun riding team! We had a fantastic time on our nomadic adventure. Riding through the Tuscany countryside and staying at the castles was spectacular. The staff were great, helpful and flexible to meet my needs. The horses were beautiful and so much fun to ride. I enjoyed getting to know the various riders and made same new friends from all over the world. I would recommend this adventure to other horse enthusiasts, but make sure you’re in shape, it’s three days of fast, fun riding. The trip of a life time !

I've spent two wonderful long weekends at Haras du Coussoul this year and can't wait to return. I was looking to improve my dressage skills somewhere accessible by train, and the option to try riding with a neckrope (which aligns with my "less is more" ideal for riding) drew me in. The Haras is stunning, set in the heart of Provence, and Alicia is a warm, passionate host whose love for her horses is contagious. The horses are beautifully cared for and a joy to ride. I especially appreciated the private lessons and how Alicia noticed my preferences the first time round and proposed an even more tailored programme the second time, centred around neckrope riding. Having done riding holidays for over a decade, I tend to revisit places with great teams, amazing horses, and unforgettable settings. Haras du Coussoul has all that, plus a special magic that's hard to describe. Meeting and cuddling the foals raised by Alicia was the cherry on the cake, and the Camargue beach ride was a fun complement to the dressage sessions. If you haven't experienced Camargue horses or the region yet, and love gallops on the beach, it's worth adding the option.

Our Nomad riding trip to the Loire Valley was truly a trip of a lifetime! Adventure, galloping through fields, walking in towns and streams and to top it off riding around castle walls and next to moats! So much fun. Our accommodations were top notch as were the meals and the tour guides! Cannot say enough, Loved it !

Trip of a lifetime ! Rita did an amazing job organizing a week filled with memory making adventures through the Loire Valley. From galloping through fields, walking through small towns, to approaching chateaus far beyond my wildest dreams! As an added bonus she helped us put together extra days in Paris that were top notch! From the private car pick up in Paris to the riding in Versaille, the amazing Michelin rated brunch….and then a fully custom ride for us in the Loire Valley ! We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end! Our favorite, of course, was the riding in the forests, and we loved the tour in Fontainebleau castle. This was an awesome luxury experience from beginning to end! It starts with arriving via private car to Versailles where you mount your equine partner and ride through the chateau grounds. I could almost imagine riding here when the King lived here. Lunch was equally amazing from the time you stepped out of your car to the last bite of desert. Then a quick 2 minute drive to the Chateau for a private tour customized to your requests. Though I had been to the Chateau before this was by far the best tour.

My family and I had the best time on our IMPERIAL HERITAGE RIDE. Rita was great, it was nice not having to worry about any details. Rita took care of everything. We had a great horseback ride, followed by a really nice lunch and a guided tour of the château, we will be doing more rides with her on future trips around the world!

Our day at Versailles with Nomad Riders was nothing short of magical. The entire day was a luxurious adventure with nothing not thought of! The experience is something I will NEVER forget, and hopefully I will be booking future rides with them. Rita and her team created an eventful day that feels like living in a dream. The only work you have to do is show up in your hotel lobby. They thought of, and took care of, all the details from Paris to Versailles and back again. 5 Star Service. 5 Star Adventure.

It was an experience of a lifetime! The highlight of my recent trip to France. From the personal pickup/return to Paris, incredible chateau accommodation, beautifully trained and responsive horses, great meals, fabulous trails through chateau hunting grounds and their outlying fields, breathtaking views riding right up to the chateau! I felt like royalty and have forged wonderful connections during the trek. Thank you Rita and your very hospitable team for a truly extraordinary experience!
